What is an Insight Council???
Good question!
Right now, the Insight Council is an idea. A prayer. A concept and a spell that Beana is casting. The answer to this question can only be lived into once we gather around it but, for now, here's the idea...
Wisdom comes when humans gather together, in circles, around fires, with intention. Growth occurs in the quiet pause of conversations at the kitchen table, the revelations in the morning commute or evening bath, and there aren't many forums to come and express those insights. We grow in community when we share our hearts and bear witness to others do the same and some of the very best medicine comes when we simply gather together.
The Insight Council is a vessel for such a gathering...a monthly sharing circle that shapeshifts depending on the composition of who joins and the needs of the topic that we're counciling on.
The world is undergoing some intense changes at the moment. Humanity is evolving in unprecedented ways. There's A LOT to talk about and this monthly gathering wants to give us a place to share wisdom, ask questions, organize ideas, inspire action, and become ourselves alongside other people becoming themselves.
An authenticity incubator, this circle will pick a theme each month and then we'll gather around it. Beana, or a community moderator, will ground the space and lay a foundation and the etheral talking stick will travel from person to person and something will happen. Now, this isn't intended to be a hub for activists and the idea isn't that this council solves the worlds problems. Instead, this circle simply invites the world to the table, pours everybody a proverbial tea, and says 'WELCOME! THANK YOU!'
Like a beehive or mycelial web, like a council of elder trees in an ancient orchard, or a flock of geese flying south for the winter, we'll gather and make whatever shape we make. We'll let our wisdom move through us (or not) and we'll see what happens.
The idea is that these councils will be community-driven once folks start to gather around The Spore but here are some ideas Beana has until there'a more voices:

The list goes on and on and on and, in a best case scenario, we have a lifetime of topics that we want to council on and we circle and circle and circle...
The fact is, we need to talk about what's real. Not who's running for what but, rather, how we feel about our lives and how we are inhabiting them in grounded and material ways.
It's an experiment and it's a risk but it feels essential to have a space to simply talk about things so we're going to try!
