The Medicine Path 

There is a difference between experiencing your own seismic transformation on plant medicine and being responsible (and capable) of delivering that to another.  

The psychedelic space has become a bloated industry full of trends, fads, opportunists, influencers, venture capitalists, and some very earnest people trying to do good.  Certifications, masterminds, novelty retreats, and endless panels of 'experts' have a lot to say on the topic - there's no lack of data! - and, it's possible, that you might benefit from participating with it.  It's also possible that you might benefit from stepping away from the scene, the industry, and the noise and taking a different path.

Devoted service to the Medicine Path asks something of you.

It asks you to: slow the f*ck down, listen deeply to what’s inside and outside of you, walk the walk and talk the talk especially when nobody is watching.  It asks you to practice reciprocity, not as a performance but in consistent and authentic ways, and cultivate relationship and apprenticeship with nature and the medicine. It requires that you learn radical authenticity, and get comfortable with telling your truth and keeping your mirror clean. 

It asks for commitment.  For devotion.  For mastery.  For patience.  For trust.  For humility. For integrity. 

This isn’t a vocation or side hustle.  It's not easy or sexy or effortless.  It’s a path of service and devotional offering to all of Creation and it takes more than a 12 month certificate training and a couple of profound trips to call yourself ready to guide.

Taking responsibility for somebody’s wide-open consciousness is not something to do casually.  It’s not a path everybody can -  or should - walk.  Beana’s dedicated commitment to her craft, honing of her well-respected and high-integrity practice, and devotion to - and apprenticeship of - the mushrooms is not something she can simply give you.  

It’s not for sale.

If we're honest, Beana does not assume that you’re suited for this work. Her commitment to mentoring aspiring guides and transformational space holders is as interested in self-selecting people out of this field as much as into it.

She does not offer shortcuts.  In fact, she will likely invite you to take the long way!

She does not certify anyone as “ready” to serve.

What she can offer is something rarer and much more precious: over three decades of lived experience working with psychedelics and over 8 years experience inside a thriving, full time practice, context for how The Work works, frameworks for navigating all aspects of the practice and the business, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of case studies and living examples of medicine in action, radically honest reflection, and a track record of consistent, honest-to-goodness impact.

Beana has a gift for this work and knows how to do it.

The commitment of taking on apprentices and holding space for mentees is not something Beana does casually.  It's a big responsibility to hold the holders and guide the guides and, after a wonderful year of teaching inside her mystery school, The Root: Open Source Mystery School and Psychedelic Salon, she's laying the groundwork for another season of support in 2027.
